Dearest Parents & Guardians,

I hope that you and your loved ones are continuing to keep well and staying safe.

Thank you to our entire staff for ensuring the safety of our students.  These are challenging times and I thank everyone for doing their part, including you, parents and guardians.  We need to all work together!

Halloween Day at PET was a huge success.  Students and staff were in full costume attire and had a great time! We celebrated with our Annual Pumpkin Contest through a virtual session with all the homerooms and the top 3 homerooms will be announced on Tuesday, Nov. 3rd.  Thank you to our PPO committee for donating a bag of chips to every student for Halloween.

I ask that you continue to assess your child’s health on a daily basis and inform the school if your child is symptomatic.  Should your child be tested as positive for Covid, please inform the school IMMEDIATELY.  If this should happen at night or on the weekend, please email .

COVID-19 info-line: 1-877-644-4545

  • Inform the school of any changes to your phone number, home address or email address.
  • Use the agenda to inform your child’s homeroom teacher if there is a change of dismissal.
  • If your child will be absent, please call the school before 8:30am.

Please remind your child that while at school to:

  • Wash hands frequently
  • Keep their distance
  • Wear a face mask (mandatory for Grade 5 & 6 students in common areas at school, and we strongly encourage all to wear a mask)
  • Sanitize their hands

Our school dress code is explained in your child’s agenda.  We ask that you please respect this dress code.  With the change in weather, as indicated, only solid navy blue or white sweatshirts will be allowed to be worn in school.  Only solid navy blue or white leggings and solid navy blue skirts/pants must be worn.

I thank you once again for all your support and cooperation.

Should you have any concerns, please let our staff know.

Take care and be well.

Ms. Alvares
