Montreal - Wednesday, September 11, 2019

Dearest Parents & Guardians, I would like to welcome you back for the 2019-2020 school year. I hope your summer was great and you are excited for the beginning of the new school year. I am proud and honored to be part of the PET Family and look forward to creating a culture of success and perseverance at Pierre Elliott Trudeau School. To do this, we will be working on helping students change their thinking to be success oriented and understand that struggling through something is an important part of learning. We want our students to leave Pierre Elliott Trudeau being resilient, successful and ready to tackle any challenges life throws at them. Our theme for this year continues on last year’s growth mindset moto and focuses on diversity. “In diversity, there is beauty and there is strength.” - Maya Angelou. Throughout the year, students will learn about diversity and how our uniqueness and strengths make all of us successful. Our school times have changed, however similar to last year, we are asking students to be seated in their classroom for 7:45am. Due to the second recess, the end of the day is now at 2:25pm. More information will be provided during curriculum night on Thursday, September 19th. The 2019-2020 school year is going to be another great year at Pierre Elliott Trudeau.
