Dearest P.E.T. Families,

Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! I hope that you and your family had a nice summer break. I hope that you are all rested, because we have a WILD year ahead!

Our theme for this year is “Welcome to the Jungle!” Our entire staff is excited to be back and looking forward to getting to know their students and families. It is going to be a “ROAR-ing” year!
It is very important that you have completed the package of forms (Health, Photo Consent, etc) and all forms are given to the office. If you have not done so, please send them to school by the end of the week. Parent email addresses must be accurate as important communication by the school and School Board is done by email. Please ensure to check your emails daily.

Students are to be in school dress code when inside the school. This includes sweaters and sweatshirts that must be solid navy blue or white, without large logos or graphics. All students must wear closed-toe shoes in school. No booties or boots allowed. Please ensure that your child has their running shoes at school. No students are to be walking around the school in their socks. Students must wear appropriate physical education attire (solid white or navy blue t-shirt, navy blue sweatpants or shorts and running shoes) on the days that they have physical education class. Grades 3 to 6 students are to wear their Phys. Ed. T-shirts on days when they have Physical Education class. This will avoid students having to change during the day.

Rest assured that we are committed to the safety of our students. We believe in the resilience of our students and families, and in a strong partnership with our parents. We thank you for choosing P.E.T. and trusting us with your child’s early education.

Here’s to a happy, safe, exciting, and engaging year! Welcome to the Jungle! It’s going to be a ROAR-some!

Ms Alvares
