Dearest Parents & Guardians,

Wow! I can’t believe that is February! Time is flying by! Before you know it, we will be on break in March. For the March Break dates (March 6th - 10th), please note that the decision of the dates is made by the school board in conjunction with the unions. The individual school boards are not mandated to follow the same holiday schedule. None of the EMSB schools offer programs during the March Break, since all our school follow the same holiday schedule.

Unfortunately, we are still collecting school feels and lunch supervision fees. As mentioned since the beginning of the school year, please call the school to let us know if a plan needs to be made for the fees. All fees must be paid for a child to attend a school trip.

PPO raised $369 for the Jan. 25th Dress Down Day. Thank you to all who donated! For PPO fundraisers, all monies raised go back to the students (events, activities, buses for trips, etc).

Thank you to all our students, staff fand parents for a beautiful Open House on Jan. 26th. Thank you to all parents who visited. THANK YOU all SNOW much! The snow couldn’t stop us or people from visiting the school. Beautiful! Registration Week is taking place from Jan. 30 to Feb. 3. We always look forward to welcoming new students and parents to our PET Family! What a beautiful community! A reminder to parents that if you would like to volunteer at our school, the volunteer form and the police check documents must be completed. Contract the school for more information.

If your child has a fever, diarrhea, vomiting, rash with fever, or your child’s health prevents them from following the group’s regular activities, then please keep your child home for at least 24 hours to monitor their symptoms. Your child should be fever free (without medication) for at least 24 hours before they can return to school. As per the government requirements, all students were given two rapid test kits during the holidays. Please use these when your child is symptomatic.

On PED Days, if daycare services are needed, you must call 514.374.0554 or email MFilippone@emsb.qc.ca and register with Ms. Mara, our Daycare Technician. Construction on the doors will continue as of February 15th. As such, the Daycare entrance on this day, which is a PED Day, will be FRONT entrance. We will keep you informed on the works’ progress.
Mozaik entry of absences, lates and early dismissals. All parents were asked at the beginning of the year to create a Mozaik account with the email addresses that was given and used with the school. We ask that you use Mozaik when your child is absent, late or has an early dismissal. Please enter this before 8:30 am.

Exams are slowly approaching. Our Grade 4 students are working on their End-of-Cycle 2 exam for French, and will begin their End-of-Cycle 2 exam next week. It is important that students are present.

On behalf of the entire staff, I thank you for your support and cooperation.

Take care, be well and stay safe.

Ms Alvares
